Every flavor sounds good written down. What matters is which ones your particular guests will actually walk up and order, and those are not always the same. So here is an honest guide to ours, including who each one is for. ## Strawberry The safest choice we have, and we mean that as a compliment. Strawberry is the flavor kids ask for by name and adults order without thinking about it. If you are running two flavors at an event with families, this is almost always one of them. It does not surprise anyone and it does not need to. Over a fresh squeezed base it stays balanced rather than cloying, which is the difference between something people finish and something they take three sips of. ## Mango The one adults gravitate to when they want something that is not what they expected. Mango is rounder and a little softer than the citrus underneath it, so it reads as slightly tropical without going far. It does well at corporate events and evening receptions, where people are looking for something a bit more considered than strawberry but do not want a novelty. If you are picking three flavors, mango is a strong middle choice between the familiar one and the interesting one. ## Pina Colada This is our fun one and it behaves like it. It gets ordered by people who see it on the sign and say oh, that. At a wedding or a party it is the flavor that produces a reaction, and it works especially well in the evening once people have loosened up. It is also the one most likely to get ordered a second time. It is not the flavor to run alone. Paired with a classic and a strawberry, it is the one people talk about. ## The rest of the signature list We also run peach, watermelon, cherry and prickly pear as signature flavors. Watermelon is the summer workhorse and does very well at outdoor events in the heat. Peach is a Texas expectation and gets ordered by people who grew up here. Cherry sits close to strawberry, so we would not usually run both. Prickly pear is a deep pink that photographs well, which is why it ends up on wedding menus more than its flavor alone would explain. ## What we would pick for a few common events Since this is the question underneath the question. For a kids birthday or a family backyard party, run the classic and strawberry. That covers everyone and the line never stalls. For a [wedding reception](/weddings), run the classic, one signature that matches your colors, and pina colada for the evening. Guests order differently after dinner than they do at cocktail hour. For a [corporate event](/corporate-events) or a grand opening, run the classic and mango. It reads as considered without asking anyone to make a decision they were not expecting. For an outdoor summer event, put watermelon in the lineup. It gets ordered more than anything else once it is genuinely hot. ## How many to run Two or three. We say this constantly. One works but feels like there was no choice. Four or more slows your line while people stand there deciding, and at an event with a queue behind them that is a real cost. Two or three lets somebody choose in a second and move. A structure that works almost everywhere: the classic, one crowd pleaser, one interesting. Strawberry and pina colada fill those last two slots more often than anything else. ## Beyond the signature list Our [Premium package](/catering-pricing) opens up the artisanal flavors, which are a different register entirely. Ginger, coconut, cucumber and lavender. Those are for events where the drink is part of the design rather than just refreshment, and they are not the right call for a backyard birthday.
